Chief Officer

Location: Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire

Salary: £32,113 to £36,973 pa

Hours per week: Full time (37 hours)

Type of contract: Permanent (subject to probationary period)

Citizens Advice Pembrokeshire seeks an inspirational Chief Officer to further develop and lead the organisation.  We are a vibrant organisation delivering a county wide service as part of the national Citizens Advice network.  

 

The Trustees are seeking a strategic leader, someone adept and forward-thinking to build on our success and to engage with new opportunities which encourage our journey of positive improvement and ensure the best client focussed advice services.  

 

The ideal candidate will be a committed leader, with excellent interpersonal skills to lead and inspire our team of some 60 staff and volunteers.  You will share our values of social justice and have the skills to incorporate them into service delivery and organisational management.  There is a need to further increase the awareness of the charity across the business and public communities of Pembrokeshire.

 

The successful applicant will have the ability to capture the confidence and interest of our funders and strategic partners while working effectively at promoting a substantial quality advice service in our communities.  Utilising a well-developed experience of financial management and income generation will be an essential skill to ensure sustainability.

 

The Chief Officer reports to our Trustee Board, working together to develop and implement organisational strategy whilst also having responsibility for day to day operations.

Advice Session Supervisor (Trainee position considered)

 

Location                  Haverfordwest and Pembroke Dock

Duration                 1 year fixed term contract subject to satisfactory completion of

                                  probation period (min 6 months)

Hours                      37 per week (Job share considered)

Annual Leave        28 days (including BH)

FTE Salary               £21,552 to £24,408 (depending on experience)

Pension                   Workplace pension applies after 3 months.

Citizens Advice Pembrokeshrie is looking for an Advice Session Supervisor.

 

The Advice Session Supervisor will be part of a team who, under the management of the Advice Services Manager, are responsible for the day to day supervision and monitoring of all workers giving information and advice through a variety of different media (face to face, telephone, webchat).  You will assess their written records of advice to ensure adherence to Citizens Advice Membership Standards, and provide feedback to advisers to develop their knowledge and confidence.

 

The successful candidate will have recent and ongoing experience in advice work.  You will be highly motivated, a strong team player and have good interpersonal skills.

 

To be considered as a Trainee ASS you will have to demonstrate an ability to work towards and meet Citizens Advice competence requirements for an Advice Session Supervisor within an agreed and defined time limit

 

You will work very closely with the Advice Services Manager and enjoy the challenge and stimulation of working within a close knit team.
